Song - Cornerstone
Verse 1
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus' Name
(REPEAT)
Chorus
Christ alone cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Saviour's love
Through the storm He is Lord
Lord of all
Verse 2
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil
Interlude
He is Lord Lord of all
Verse 3
When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless stand before the throne

Call to Worship
Based on Psalm 118
Leader: Give thanks to the LORD, for God is good;
PEOPLE: God’s love endures forever.
Let the people of God say:
God’s love endures forever.
Let the priests who serve in prayer say:
God’s mercy endures forever.
Let all who reverence the Creating God say: God’s love endures forever!
All: We know what it is to cry out in anguish and fear.
God's love endures forever.
God is with us; we will not be afraid.
Let all who reverence the Saving God say: His love endures forever!
The Lord is our help and refuge; God's love endures forever.
We put our hope in God’s Cornerstone rather than governments.
God's love endures forever!
Song - O Praise Him
Verse 1
Turn your ear to heaven
And hear the noise inside
The sound of angel's awe
The sound of angel's songs
And all this for a King
We could join and sing
All to Christ the King
How constant how divine
This song of ours will rise
O how constant how divine
This love of ours will rise will rise
Chorus 1
O praise Him O praise Him
He is holy
He is holy yeah
Verse 2
Turn your gaze to heaven
And raise a joyous noise
The sound of salvation come
The sound of rescued ones
And all this for a King
Angels join to sing
All for Christ the King
How infinite and sweet
This love so rescuing
O how infinitely sweet
This great love that has redeemed
As one we sing
Chorus 2
Alleluia alleluia
He is holy
He is holy yeah

Confession
Leader: Our Holy Spirit, we confess the weakness of our lives.
We have often turned away from You to seek our own desires.
And often when we have done no evil,
we have undertaken nothing of good,
and so have been guilty of apathy and neglect.
From this sin of idleness and indifference set us free.
Lead us into fruitful effort,
and deliver us from empty lives.
We ask in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
…Silence is kept…
Assurance of Pardon
Leader: But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For Christ is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in His flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that in Christ, we might be made into one new humanity in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.
Thanks be to God!
Song - Come Thou Fount
Verse 1
Come Thou fount of ev'ry blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it
Mount of Thy redeeming love
Verse 2
Here I raise mine Ebenezer
Hither by Thy help I'm come
And I hope by Thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wand'ring from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood
Verse 3
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy grace Lord like a fetter
Bind my wand'ring heart to Thee
Prone to wander Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart Lord take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above

Sermon Conversation
This week’s sermon conversation is entitled:
Hope Rising - “Let’s get, Let’s get Rocked”
Text: 1 Peter 2:1-12
Communion
Taking communion together is a major reason we love to gather on Sundays. It’s a powerful physical and tangible reminder of the work of Jesus and continued reliance on Christ.
Leader: Read through 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
“This is the body of Christ broken for you.”
“This is the blood of Christ shed for you.”
Benediction
Let’s go forth from this place knowing that God has filled us with the Holy Spirit.
May we rejoice in the power of the Spirit within and among us.
Andy may we take the Good News everywhere we go, trusting that God will translate where needed.
Amen.
